Mike is now available for virtual lessons. He uses studio quality sound and HD cameras with multiple angles. This helps to enhance the virtual experience and allows communication that is on par with an in-person lesson.
Before Mike joined Lotus in 2009, he taught drums professionally for 20 years. Over that time, he instructed at the Long Island Drum Center, Mars Music, and the Music Garden. When it comes to drum instruction, Mike views himself more in the role of a “physician” as opposed to a teacher. His goal is to fix problems that you are experiencing and send you on your way to open doors for yourself. Therefore, one lesson can provide weeks or months of practice material. His lessons work best when you come to him with prepared and detailed questions. Session topics vary but can include groove, technique, reading, cross rhythms, and independence.
Lesson Cost
Introductory Lesson – $60 an hour, $35 for half an hour.
